Community Health Services

This is the principal project in the SHIFT Programme, as the needs of the Salford population and the services which need to develop in response to those needs drives the SHIFT Strategy. The project links and overlaps with all other projects in the programme.

Wherever possible the project will influence the health and well-being of the Salford population by enabling a new approach to health and lifestyle.

Specific objectives aim to:

• Progress the service redesign and implementation of new care models
• Develop services which are consistent with national and local strategy
• Ensure services reflect best practice and effective clinicalgovernance standards
• Prepare the partner organisations and their staff for thenew working processes
• Inform the SRFT Hospital Redevelopment Project, Gateway Project, Connecting for Health and the Workforce Project.
