News

Energise Healthy Living Centre on Douglas Green, Charlestown became the first Salford LIFT centre to be completed in October 2005. Rt Hon Hazel Blears MP unveiled a plaque and Deputy Mayor Councillor Bernard Murphy toasted to the success of the LIFT centre at a handover ceremony on 14 October.

Scheme

Energise Healthy Living Centre lies in the heart of the Charlestown, next to St Sebastian's Community Centre on Douglas Green (off Langley Road South): the two centres have a shared entrance. Public transport is situated right outside the centre: Bus No's 27, 51 and 52.

Triangle Architects of Manchester is a company heavily involved in regenerating inner city areas. Recent schemes in which Triangle have been involved include the Kath Locke Centre Community Resource Centre in Hulme (Manchester) and the Havenham Primary Care Centre in Preston.
